"The law is the true embodiment of everything that's excellent.

It has no kind of fault or flaw.  And I, my lords, embody the law."

- W.S. Gilbert

My office normally accepts civil appeals only at the request of the attorney who handled the case in the trial court.  Many civil law issues are highly specialized and complex and involve legal issues outside my experience.  I will not accept such cases at the appeal level unless an attorney fully familiar with the substantive area of law is also participating.  Many civil cases at the trial level are handled by the attorney on a contingency fee or percentage of recovery basis.  My office, like most appellate attorneys, will not take a case on a contingency or percentage of recovery fee.

So my civil appeal work is limited, but I have been successful in civil appeal cases and will consider them on an individual case basis.
